the power supply, you need to unplug the AC adapter from the outlet. Put the charger
near an outlet where you can reach the AC adapter easily. Leaving the AC adapter
plugged in for a long time may lead to fire.
Cautions when charging
≥ Occasionally wipe the terminals on the charger and main unit with a dry cloth.
≥ Do not spill liquids on the charger. If liquids get into the charger, unplug the AC
adapter cord and contact the place of purchase.
≥ Do not recharge rechargeable batteries with this unit other than the one supplied.
≥ The rechargeable battery uses chemical reactions. As it is easily affected by
surrounding temperatures, recharge in a range between 0 xC and 40 xC. If you
charge outside of this temperature range, protection circuitry may act, and this may
extend the time for charging.
≥ The time for charging may take longer if you charge again immediately after
completing a charge. This condition is caused by the temperature of the battery
being high which causes the protection circuitry to act so that there is no current for
charging, and is not an indication of a fault. Charging will be possible within the
normal time again by cooling the main unit.
≥ Do not charge in places that can become hot, such as on heated carpets, in front of
heating appliances, where direct sunlight is strong, and in cars under the hot sun.
The temperature protection function inside the charger may stop charging. This
means that the battery will not be fully charged.
≥ The rechargeable battery discharges gradually even while you are not using it. If you
have left the battery without using it, charge the battery before use.
≥ When the charger is not to be used, unplug the AC adapter from the outlet.
≥ Make sure you only use the supplied AC adapter.
≥ The rechargeable battery may have reached the end of its service life if usage time
decreases even after recharging. Replace with a new rechargeable battery.
≥ Do not put the charger in unstable locations or where it is in danger of falling.
Usage advice
≥ You can still use this unit if you are out and unable to recharge the battery by using
commercially available AAA/R03 rechargeable batteries or AAA/R03 primary cell
batteries.
However, you cannot charge commercial rechargeable batteries with this unit. You
also cannot charge primary cell batteries.
