Mount the Air Master QTS-3 basic com-
pressor on the tank using existing bolts
and nuts (torque to original manufacture's
specifications). Install the new motor / en-
gine pulley. Failure to change the pul-
ley will cause the compressor to oper-
ate at an incorrect speed and will void
the warranty! Install the new belt and
tighten per procedures and specifications
found in the Air Master 2 Cylinder Retrofit
Emglo K and KU Contractor Parts / In-
struction Manual.
Re-install the discharge and unloader lines.
The unloader line may require reposition-
ing. (Avoid sharp bends in either line.)
Install the belt guard. The expanded metal
of the belt guard should fit between the
metal clips in the bottom pan and the belt
guard retainers on the tank. Re-attach the
belt guard to the bottom pan with the
screws provided.
Attach the belt guard to the compressor
using the bracket on the belt guard. After
the belt guard is in place, bend the metal
tabs in the bottom pan of the belt guard
(see photo Step 4) until they touch the
expanded metal to secure the guard in
place.
