Setting welding nozzle
Preparation for adjusting the welding nozzle (9)
• The welding nozzle (9) and pressure roller (11) must be clean.
Welding nozzle (9) must have cooled down (Chapter 1.8 Cooling, page 36).
• Turn off main switch (3)
230
Disconnect power supply cord from power supply.

• Hot air welding machine in transport readiness position.
– Swivel guide roller (15) upwards.
– Push hot air blower (8) to the right until locking cam (10) latches
into the recess of holding handle (28).
Hot air blower (8) is in parked position.
– Lower transport rollers (26) by swiveling handle (27).
This relieves pressure roller (11) for transport.
• Perform test weld after adjusting the welding nozzle (9).
Angular adjustment of the welding nozzle (9)
• Hot air welding machine in transport readiness position.
Lower hot air welding machine using handle (27).
A
Loosen hexagon socket head screws on device holder (29).
B
Lower hot air blower (8).
C
Welding nozzle (9) must lie flat on the base.
D
Correct the angle by means of swivel movements at hot air blower (8) until the welding nozzle (9) lies flat on
E
the base.
Tighten hexagon socket head screws on device holder (29).

Setting distance between welding nozzle (9) and pressure roller (11) with nozzle gauge
• Hot air welding machine in transport readiness position.
Push nozzle gauge (38) below pressure roller (11).
F
Carefully lower pressure roller (11) onto nozzle gauge (38) using handle (27).
H
Move hot air blower (8) into welding position.
Loosen the two swivel axis adjustment screws (25).
I
Align hot air blower (8) parallel to nozzle gauge (38).
J
Tighten swivel axis adjustment screws (25).
