2. If cranking becomes difficult, grease gear rack
lightly.
The ball bearings in the tool are permanently
lubricated.
MOTOR HEAD AND HOUSING
Frequently clean all sawdust dust accumulated
inside the head assembly and motor housing
with an air jet.
PULLEY
If you feel an unusually
high level of vibration,
the pulleys may not be
firmly secured to the
motor shaft and / or
spindle.
To ensure that the pulleys are properly seated
and tensioned, locate the fixing screw of each of
them. Tighten each set screw with the hex key.
GEAR RACK
Periodically lubricate the endless gear and rack
to maintain the smoothness of the vertical
movement and prolong the service life of the
column drill.
TROUBLESHOOTING
NOISES WHILE OPERATING
Incorrect band tension. Adjust the belt tension.
Shaft without greasing. Lubricate the shaft.
Loose shaft pulley. Check the pressure of the
pulley retaining nut, tighten if necessary.
Motor pulley loose. Tighten the pulley adjust-
ment screws.
DRILL OVERHEATS
Wrong speed. Change the speed.
The chip does not come out of the hole. Retract
the drill bit from time to time to clean sawdust
and shavings.
The drill has no edge. Sharpen or change drill
bit.
It is drilling very slowly. Drill faster. Allow the
drill to make its cut.
It is not lubricated. Lubricate the drill properly.
DRILL BIT DOES NOT PERFORM ROUND CUTS
Wood grain is very hard or cuts at incorrect an-
gles. Sharpen your drill bit correctly.
Curved drill bit. Replace your drill bit.

THE WOOD SPLITS FROM BELOW
There is no backing material under the work
piece. Use a piece of unusable wood to support
your work piece.
THE WORK PIECE COMES OUT OF THE PLACE OF
PERFORATION
It has not been held or pressed correctly. Hold
or press the work piece correctly so it does not
move.
THE DRILL IS STUCK IN THE WORKPIECE
The work piece pinches the drill bit or drill with
a lot of pressure. Hold or press the work piece
correctly so that it does not move.
Inappropriate band tension. Adjust the band
tension correctly.
EXCESSIVE WEAR OF THE BIT OR WOBBLE TOO
MUCH
Bent drill bit. Use a straight drill bits.
Worn bearings. Replace the bearings.
The drill bit has not been placed correctly in the
chuck. Place the drill correctly.
The chuck has not been properly installed. In-
stall your broker properly.
THE CHUCK RETURNS VERY FAST OR VERY
SLOW
The spring has an inappropriate tension. Adjust
spring tension.
THE DRILL DOES NOT COUPLE TO THE SHAFT
WHEN INSTALLED AND FALLS
There is dust, grease or oil inside the broker
hole or on the shaft surface. Using a homemade
detergent, clean the surface of the broker and
shaft to remove impurities, grease and oil.
