Thank you and congratulations on purchasing this WAYSCRAL electric assist bike (EAB).
Your bike is intended for city use - it will allow you to ride safely in the city. It is equipped with an
electrical pedal-assist to make your daily travels easier, and to ride farther and for longer. Your electric
assist bike is an adult bike intended for people over 14.
Your electric assist bike is not a moped. The assistance is intended to provide additional pedalling. The
moment you start pedalling, the motor starts and helps you in the effort. The assistance varies
depending on the speed of the bike, significant at start-up, less supported when the bike is launched,
then disappears when the bike reaches 25 km/h. The assistance shuts off as soon as one of the brake
levers is operated or when your speed exceeds 25 km/h. It is turned back on as soon as your speed
drops below 23 km/h.
The purpose of this user manual is to provide you with the required information for proper use,
adjustment and maintenance of your bike. Please read this manual carefully before first use and keep it
during the service life of your bike. This WAYSCRAL adult electric assist bike was designed as per the
requirements of European standards EN 15194, in accordance with the safety requirements for a
maximum total permitted weight of 100 kg (bike + rider + luggage included).
Failure to follow these instructions will expose you to the risk of improper use of your bike, premature
wear of certain components that may cause a fall and / or accident.

WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS
Choose a safe location away from traffic to familiarise yourself with your new bike. The assistance can
be triggered with force. Check that your handlebars are straight and that the way is clear. Before each
use, please make sure that your bike is in good overall condition. We strongly advise you to prepare
yourself before getting on the bike by wearing at least a helmet.
Furthermore, the user must comply with the requirements of national regulations when the bike is used
on public roads (lighting and signalling, for instance). Since 1 September 2008, cyclists are required
wear reflective vests at night outside urban areas. The MGTS company cannot be held liable if the bike's
rider does not comply with the regulations in force.
This bike is intended for use in urban and suburban areas. It is not intended for use on surfaces that are
unpaved or in poor condition. It is not intended for "off-road" use or for use in competition. Failing to
comply with this may lead to falls or accidents and may degrade the condition of your electric assist bike
prematurely and irreversibly.
If the bike is used by a child, parents should monitor and ensure that the user is able to use the bike
safely.
In case of unusual weather conditions (rain, cold, nighttime...), proceed with care and adjust your speed
and reactions accordingly.
When transporting your bike on the outside of your vehicle (bike rack, roof rack...), it is recommended
to remove the battery and store it in a cool place.
Before each use, please make sure that your bike is in good overall condition. The condition of
high-wear parts, such as brakes, tyres, steering, transmission and rims must be checked by the user
before each use and be regularly controlled, maintained and adjusted by a qualified mechanic.
Caution: Like any mechanical component, a bike is subjected to high stresses and wears out. The
different materials and components can react differently to wear or fatigue. If the expected service life of
a component has been exceeded, the component may break unexpectedly, which is likely to result in
injury to the rider. Cracks, scratches and discolouration in areas subject to high stresses suggest that
98
the component has exceeded its service life and must be replaced.
98
The range of your bike depends on weather conditions, gradient and load. For instance, the range may
be shorter due to low temperatures, ascents and heavy loads. Your electric assist bike can be used with
98
or without assistance. Using the bike without assistance requires harder pedalling, because an electric
99
assist bike is heavier than a conventional bike. You must ensure that you are able to complete your
100
journey without assistance in case of failure. When in doubt, do not hesitate to meet our technicians,
they will advise you in the best possible way after the diagnosis of your bike.
100
Your bike is sold with a luggage rack already attached - it is possible to fit a child seat. To ensure the
101
seat's compatibility, it is strongly advised to check with a qualified technician.

II. FIRST USE/ADJUSTMENT
101
Although your WAYSCRAL bike has been thoroughly prepared in our workshops, it is important to make
102
sure of the following points before first use.
102
1) Setting up the safety features
102
Lighting
102
Lighting is provided, consisting of two reflectors (a white one included in the headlight and a red one
attached to the rear rack), a headlight and a taillight, two other orange reflectors positioned between the
102
spokes on the wheels, the reflective tyres allowing you to be seen sideways.
104
The lighting system is one of your bike's safety features - it must be present on your bike.
105
Check that your lighting system works and that your batteries are sufficiently charged before taking to
the road.
105
In case of need, you may change the bulb or batteries of your lights.
105
Spent batteries contain metals that are harmful to the environment - they should be collected in our
106
stores for appropriate handling and must not be disposed of with household waste. Batteries must be
106
collected separately.
