11. Start-up
Below we will describe the procedures for starting up the unit. If during one of the following steps
there is a problem or the described conditions are not fulfilled, go to the Troubleshooting section or
notify Ingeteam.
11.1. Ground connection
Before starting up the unit, check that all internal elements are properly grounded.
Check that there is continuity between all metallic parts of the unit and the different grounding
terminals for the internal devices. If not, make sure that these terminals are properly tightened and
the yellow-green wires are properly pealed.
11.2. Unit´s internal power
By default, the unit leaves the factory with all circuit breakers in the off position. After having
connected all powers and signals, proceed to connect the different parts of the unit via the
corresponding switches.
The steps to follow to power the unit are:
1.
With the switches open, make sure that the auxiliary voltage and frequency at the X01 terminal is within
specifications.
2.
Connect the F01 surge protector.
3.
Connect the F02 switch.
4.
Check for the presence of power in the unit´s plug via a multimeter.
5.
If the SAI battery comes with fuses or bridges not installed yet, insert them in the proper places.
6.
Connect the F03 switch.
7.
Check that the power source is properly on and that the OK LED is fixed.
8.
Check that the battery and its managing module is properly lit and that the status LED is properly lit and
fixed.
9.
With a multimeter, check that the battery (if available) has a power between 22.5 – 29.5 V.
10. Connect the F04 switch.
11. Visually check that the CPU´s power source is on. Verify that the ON and OK LEDs are on.
12. Connect the F05 switch.
13. Wait a few seconds until the analyzer screen is properly lit. It should not blink or have strange variations
in brightness.
14. Connect the F06 switch.
15. Check that the communications switch and Wifi adapter (if applicable) is properly lit. The OK status LEDs
must be lit and fixed.
11.3. Start-up of analyzer
If the analyzer has reached the installation without being previously configured, for whatever reason,
you must proceed to configure it as explained in the corresponding annexe.
Once the analyzer is powered and configured, proceed to check its status.
1.
Verify that the transformation ratios of the measurement transformers are properly entered in the
analyzer´s configuration.
2.
Check that direction of the intensities is correct and the order of the wire´s phases to the unit correspond
to that of the measurement transformers.
