LOWER TENSIION
If you machine skips stitches or
loops stitches, it may require a
tension adjustment. To check the
bobbin tension, follow these
steps:
1 Push latches of the shuttle
race cover to the outside, as
shown in figure
Remove shuttle cover as

4 Suspend bobbin, bobbin
case, and shuttle all together
as illustrated in figure

When jerking the thread

slightly. all of them should
slide down with light resis-
tance .
If they do not slide down with
a slight jerk of the thread, the
bobbin case tension is too
tight. If they slide down too
easily, the bobbin case ten-
sion is too loose.

Once the bobbin case is cor-
rectly adjusted, it is easy to
use the upper tension to bal-
ance the stitches as shown
on page 27.
