Operations to be carried out at Ruggerini Service Centres
The maintenance operations listed above refer to an engine operating in normal
conditions (temperature, degree of humidity, dust in the working environment). They
may vary significantly according to the type of use.
It is the operator's responsibility to adapt maintenance to particularly difficult
environmental and working conditions. Contact Ruggerini Service in case of need.
If the engine is not used for long periods of time (4-6 months), the engine oil must be
replaced when re-starting, even if the engine has only been used for a few hours, as oil
tends to oxidise and lose its lubricating properties.
Maintenance should be carried out by experts. Some operations might look
simple but could be dangerous if carried out without adequate precautions.
Ruggerini Service Centres will give you all indications or suggestions you may
need to carry out correct maintenance. In case of failure, they will supply you
with original spare parts complying with the manufacturer's specifications.
Read carefully the GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS on pages 21 and 22 before
working on the engine.
Do not carry out any maintenance with the engine running!
Make sure the machine is safely placed. Remove ignition key and make sure
the engine cannot be started anyway.
