FRL AIR TREATMENT SYSTEM
Refer to the specifications of the system component.
FILTER / REGULATOR
INSTALLATION
Place after isolation valve and before lubricator
● ● ● ● ●
Position vertically (maximum inclination 5°)
● ● ● ● ●
Installation accessories (on request) :
● ● ● ● ●
- top bracket and ring (for separate component)
- side brackets
Pressure and temperature: see general specifications
● ● ● ● ●
other specifications: see filter and regulator
MAINTENANCE (see filter and regulator)
FILTER
INSTALLATION
Place near point of use, after isolation valve
● ● ● ● ●
Position vertically (maximum inclination 5°)
● ● ● ● ●
Pressure and temperature: see general specifications
● ● ● ● ●
Visual condensate level check:
● ● ● ● ●
- through transparent bowl (polycarbonate bowl version)
- through small window in front of bowl protection
Depending on the version selected: the filter is equipped with:
● ● ● ● ●
- A semi-automatic drain (G 1/8 connection)
Drain closes on bowl pressurization
Opens when depressurized
Can be operated manually by pressing plunger when bowl is
under pressure
- Automatic drain - operating pressure 2 to 10 bar (for Modulair 112)
(nipple connection for Ø 6 ID hose)
Drain opens by built-in float when maximum condensate level
is reached
Recloses after discharging condensates
Can be operated manually (knurled knob)
- Manual drain
MAINTENANCE
Bowls (with or without guard) of polycarbonate (PC):
● ● ● ● ●
never use a solvent, use an alkaline solution (soapy water)
for cleaning.
Filtering element: replace if clogged (available as spare part)
● ● ● ● ●
Filtering capacity indicated by colour coding: white for 5µm, red for 10µm, yellow (standard) for 25µm,
● ● ● ● ●
and green for 50µm
REGULATOR
INSTALLATION
Place after filter and preferably before lubricator
● ● ● ● ●
Never connect a regulator to a control valve outlet
● ● ● ● ●
Position as desired, making sure that the adjustment knob is accessible
● ● ● ● ●
Mounting options:
● ● ● ● ●
- Direct surface-mounting using the 2 holes in the body
With mounting accessories (on request)
- Panel mounting: with retaining ring
- Surface mounting:with ring + top bracket
with 2 side brackets
Each regulator is supplied with two G 1/2 ports (on the front and
● ● ● ● ●
rear) for fitting a pressure gauge
or controlled pressure tapping. Ports concealed with trim.
Operations to be performed before utilising.
Installing a pressure gauge
● ● ● ● ●
- Remove the trim
- Manually install the pressure gauge at the front
- Seal the rear plug with a suitable product (e.g. Loctite 241)
- Reinstall the trim at the back
NOTE: interchange the two components for right-to-left flow installation
Installation without pressure gauge
● ● ● ● ●
- Remove the trim
- Obtain one G 1/8 plug for the front port
- Seal the two plugs with a suitable product
- Reinstall the trim

ADJUSTMENT OF DOWNSTREAM PRESSURE
Available adjustment ranges:
● ● ● ● ●
0.5 bar to 10 bar / 0.2 to 3 bar / 0.5 to 12 bar
Maximum inlet pressure : 16 bar
● ● ● ● ●
Ambient temperature : -10°C to +60°C
● ● ● ● ●
Adjustment knob with "pull-turn-push" type
● ● ● ● ●
locking system
Key locking version available to avoid inadvertent loss of
● ● ● ● ●
downstream pressure adjustment.
LUBRICATOR
INSTALLATION
To be placed after filter, filter/regulator near point of use
● ● ● ● ●
Position vertically (maximum inclinaison 5°)
● ● ● ● ●
Pressure and temperature: see general specifications
● ● ● ● ●
Visual oil level check:
● ● ● ● ●
- Through transparent bowl (polycarbonate bowl version)
- Through large windows in bowl protection
FILLING OF BOWL
Modulair 107: lubricator depressurized (pressurized on request)
● ● ● ● ●
Modulair 112: lubricator depressurized or pressurized, after unscrewing
● ● ● ● ●
the upper plug (A)
Types of oil: Non-detergent oil without aggressive additives,
● ● ● ● ●
VG 32 class (ISO 3448) Viscosity: 29 to 35 cSt (mm
OIL FLOW RATE ADJUSTMENT
Adjustment by means of knob (B) with "pull-turn-push"
● ● ● ● ●
type locking system (fig.1), or by means of a 6 mm
Allen key after having first unblocked the
adjustment knob (pull B) (fig.2). Flow direction
indicated by arrows.
Set oil flow rate during the passage of air
● ● ● ● ●
Start point: below 20 l/min (STP)
● ● ● ● ●
Oil flow rate: arg one drop of oil per minute
● ● ● ● ●
for an air flow of 300 l/min (STP)

upper part of the module to control the circuit pressure
Adaptation on Modulair 107: special version intended for use with
● ● ● ● ●
a pressure switch (on request)
Modulair 112: Remove the hex socket head screw located on
the bottom, plugging the pressure (3) tapping
- Install the pressure switch after converting for pad mounting
- Make electrical connections
