Check the clamping action of the chuck regularly.
Use only suitable additional tools to extract the
drilling chips.
Caution: Never remove chips with your hand.
Never make adjustments or perform any other
operations on the machine when it is running.
Always use the supplied chuck key to open and
close the scroll chuck.
Caution: Always remove the chuck key after
use.
Never use damaged bits or tools.
Unauthorized modifications to the machine
release the manufacturer from all liability for
damage caused as the result.
Keep children away from the machine.
Always keep your workplace tidy.
Avoid abnormal postures.
Do not overload the machine.
Never use blunt tools.
Pull out the power plug when not in use.
The use of the machine is governed by VDE
guidelines, DIN guidelines and the accident
prevention regulations published by professional
associations.
6. Assembly
The parts numbers used below correspond to the
item numbers in the list of replacement parts.
Remove any grease etc. from all the parts before
assembling.
1. Place the base plate (1) in a convenient position.
2. Fasten the pillar (2) with the supplied screws (5).
3. Insert the screw gear (19) in the table holder
(17).
4. Now insert the gear rack (21) in the table holder
(17) with the teeth facing the screw gear (uniform
projection).
5. Slide these parts together onto the column (2),
making sure that the gear rack sits in the teeth of
the screw gear.
6. To secure the gear rack at the top end, slip the
guide sleeve (13) onto the column and secure
with the screw (15).
7. You can now insert the table (12) and secure
with the clamping lever (8).
8. Finally, mount the complete drill head on the
column. Align the head vertically with the base
plate and secure with the screws (35).
9. Screw the switch/plug combination (64) to the
drill head (34) using the 2 screws (65).
10. Screw the 3 supplied levers (31) in the handle
holder (26).

11. Before joining the chuck (98) and the taper
mandrel (99), free all the parts of any grease.
Now insert the taper mandrel in the chuck taper
with a strong push. Then insert the taper likewise
in the drilling spindle.
12. Check the tension of the V-belt regularly before
use.
Before putting into operation, the drill has to be
fixed in a stationary position. Two fixing holes for
screws are available in the base plate for this
purpose. The screws are not supplied.
Caution: Do not overtighten the fixing screws or
the base plate may fracture.

6.1 Preparing for use

To use the machine you will also need an extension
cable with earthing coupling. The machine is
equipped with no-volt tripping, i.e. you have to switch
on the machine again after a power failure or power
interruption.
7. Operation

7.1 Speed settings

Please note: The V-belt housing cover is
electrically interlocked.
The various speeds are set by moving the V-belt.
1. Switch off the machine before opening the V-belt
housing.
2. Undo the wing nuts (37) and move the motor
toward the spindle.
3. Move the V-belt to the desired speed setting.
4. Re-tension the V-belt by moving the motor in the
opposite direction and re-tightening the wing nuts
(37).
7.2 Speeds
