2. Connect the digital video cable
a Connect the digital video cable to the digital video port on the back of the monitor.
b Connect the digital video cable from the monitor to the video-in port on the back of the ultrasound
engine (see

3. Connect ultrasound engine and clinical monitor power supplies to the isolation
transformer
a Connect the ultrasound engine power supply extension cord from the ultrasound engine power supply
to the isolation transformer.
b Connect the clinical monitor power supply:
i Connect the clinical monitor power supply to the power connector on the back of the monitor.
ii Connect the clinical monitor power supply extension cord from the monitor power supply to the
isolation transformer.
4. Connect the mouse and optional peripherals
a Connect the mouse to a USB port on the side of the ultrasound engine (see
b (Optional) If connecting to the network by Ethernet, connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on
the back of the ultrasound engine (see

c (Optional) Connect the printer:
i Connect the printer USB cable to a USB port on the side of the ultrasound engine (see
page 7).
ii Connect the printer power supply cord from the printer power cable to the isolation transformer.
5. Mount the clinical monitor on the pedestal mount
For instructions, see the GCX Mounting Assembly Installation Guide, included with the system.
6. Connect to power and turn on the system and optional peripherals
a Connect the system power cord from the isolation transformer to a grounded hospital-grade outlet.
b Turn the isolation transformer power switch to the ON position.
c Press the power button on the ultrasound engine.
The power button is green while the system is on. (When the system is in sleep mode, the power
button blinks green.)
d (Optional) Turn the printer power switch to the ON position.
