To assemble the SonoSite X-Porte Desktop

Note
Before you begin, make sure that the isolation transformer is disconnected from power and that the isolation
transformer's power switch is in the OFF position.
1. Connect a transducer and the ultrasound engine power supply to the bottom of the
ultrasound engine
a Place the ultrasound engine upside down on a soft surface, and connect a transducer (see
page 5 and "Preparing transducers" in the SonoSite X-Porte Help or in the SonoSite X-Porte User
Guide).
b Connect the ultrasound engine power supply to the ultrasound engine: Remove the plastic guard from
the power connector (if present), and connect the power connector to the engine (see
page 5).
c Invert the ultrasound engine, so that it sits flat on the block attached to the power connector cord.
If necessary, adjust the position of the power connector cord to make sure that the ultrasound engine
sits flat on the block attached to the power connector cord and is stable.

Power connector
Assembling the SonoSite X-Porte Desktop
Connect only the clinical monitor power supply extension cord, the ultrasound
engine power supply extension cord, and the (optional) printer power supply to
the isolation transformer. Do not use the fourth output on the isolation
transformer.
To avoid unexpected results, follow the assembly instructions in the order they
are presented.
