INSTALLATION GUIDES

INSTALLATION INFORMATION

Installation must be carried out in
accordance with national standards.
The fixture must only be used when
complete with safety screen. If the
screen is damaged or broken, the fixture
must not be used. Restore the original
conditions before reusing.
The fixture is installed under CL II
protection standards, particular care
must be taken while assembling to
ensure that exposed metal parts do not
come into electrical contact with parts of
the electrical installation connected to
a protection conductor. This light fixture
must be installed only for the use for
which it was designed, namely for the
illumination of outdoor spaces.
Any other use must be considered to
be improper and dangerous, and the
manufacturer cannot be held liable for
any damage caused by improper and
unreasonable use.
IMPORTANT! Insert the cable taking care
to perforate the membrane of the cable
grommet. Once inserted, pull it back
out a short way so that the membrane
wraps back around it, ensuring correct
insulation against water (Fig. 1).
INSTALLATION
Suspended – SN343L
Separate the G3/4 connection from the
luminaire and secure it, screwing it to the
support using the rear part of the wrench
provided (Fig. 2). Extract at least 80 cm of
power cable from the support and insert
it into the luminaire (still closed) (Fig. 3).
Secure the luminaire to the support by
means of the G3/4 connection using the
wrench provided. Direct the light fixture
correctly with respect to the road (Fig. 4).
Tightening the small grub screw on the
side of the connection to a force of 6Nm
prevents involuntary rotation of the
luminaire (Fig. 5).
Post top – PN343L
Place the fixture on the support inserting
the threaded sleeve in the relative hold
until it is firmly driven home. Direct the
light fixture correctly with respect to the
road (Fig. 4). Secure the fixture in place
by tightening the relative nut G3/4" (Fig.
6). Extract about 125 cm of cable from
the support. Insert cable into side arm
of light fixture fitted at the top with a
stainless steel plate (Fig. 7). Use the side
of the blade of a screwdriver to turn the
elastic plate sidewise (Fig. 8). Fit the cable
through the cable holder inside the fixture
(9-1). Put back the elastic plate to seal
the inspection slot. Put in by pressure the
lid covering the junction to the support
(Fig. H).
Wall/post mounting – MN343L
Separate the plate from the junction,
loosening the two screws in the bottom
part (Fig. 10).
NOTE! The plate is equipped with a spirit
level, in order to make levelling easier
while marking the points for drilling the
holes on the walls for the log bolts. The
plate has a hole and a 9 mm diameter
slot for fastening. The two log bolts must
have hexagon head screws, and must
not stick out by more than 15 mm from
the plate. The log bolts are not provided
by Neri spa, which is unable to know
beforehand which kind of wall the device
will be installed on. It is up to the installer
to identify the best kind of log bolt
depending on the kind of wall (stone, full
bricks, hollow bricks, concrete, etc.) and
on the total weight of the lighting fixture it
has to hold up.
The wall plate is equipped with a large
central slot in order to allow through
cables coming from inside the wall or
else, if the cable is external, the passage
is from below (Fig. 11). Measure out about
100 cm of electric cable sticking out from
the plate on the wall, needed to connect
up to the terminals of the switch inside
the fixture. Approach the fixture to the
plate on the wall and fit the cable into the
side arm, equipped at the top end with
plate made of stainless steel (Fig. 12/14),
and use the side of a screwdriver to turn
the elastic plate sidewise (Fig. 8), and
take the cable out through the slot.
Hook the fixture to the wall/post plate;
screw on the two screws below and
fasten them in place using the lock nuts
(Fig. 13/15). Fit the cable in through the
fairlead inside the fixture (Fig. 1). Put
the elastic plate back on to close the
inspection slot.
Tilting mounting – BN343L
Measure out about 80cm of electric cable
sticking out from the post, needed to
connect up to the terminals of the switch
inside the fixture. Unscrew completely
the central screw and nut of the junction
separating the two elements to facilitate
the cable entrance of the fixture (Fig. 16).
Re-install the junction using the central
screw and nut and tighten to the desired
position. Install the light fixture on the
post and tighten the two M6 screws on
the junction (Fig. 17).
Speciale mounting Saiph – CN343L
Fixtures for installation on top sections
cod. cod.4102.128-4202.228-4302.328
belonging to the Saiph series are
equipped with a special junction. Fasten
the fixture to the arm using the 4 screws
(Fig. 18).
Unscrew the nut from the end of the
sheath, and fit the threaded end into the
hole on the top body of the fixture (Fig.
19). Screw the plastic nut onto the end
of the sheath without forcing too much
(Fig. 19b).
Collegamenti elettrici
Open the fixture pushing energetically
and simultaneously on the two side
springs (Fig. 20-21).
ATTENTION: the gaskets between the
two parts are compressed. Hold the
bottom part of the fixture while opening.
Secure the power cable to the body using
the predisposed cable tie (Fig. 22) and
connect it to the disconnecting switch
(Fig. 23) (cut the cable if it is too long).
