- then connect the power supply cable from the main electrical
network.
I
Connect the flexible hose – connected previously to the
drainage column – to the main drain located at floor level.
Carry out a complete test cycle of the various functions. Check
that there is no water leaking from the drainage column, glass
panel sealing strips, all the various hoses and their connections
and the silicon-coated parts.
Alarm connection (if provided)
FLEXA TOWER and FLEXA TOWER COMPACT models were
designed to be eventually equipped with an alarm signaled on
the display with (
). Should the premises in which the FLEXA
TOWER is to be installed have an emergency call circuit, this
circuit can be connected to the shower enclosure and be con-
trolled by said button.
I
Inside the electronic control panel, near the watertight cable
clamp "ALARM" (see wiring diagram), there are two terminals
marked with "ALL". These terminals correspond to the contacts,
normally open, of a relay to which the installer can connect the e-
mergency call circuit, which must comply with current legislation
and specific national standards.
I
When the alarm button is pressed on the display, a relay, already
mounted inside the electronic panel, activates the emergency call
device for about 15 seconds.
The call indicator (bells, buzzers, lamps, etc.) can be powered ei-
ther with 220/240V or low voltage, but with a maximum current
absorption of 10A.
I
The alarm connection must be carried out by using a cable with
having characteristics no lesser than H 05 VV-F 2x2.5 mm
The use of this type of cable is necessary to ensure that the cable
clamp mounted on the electronic box provides the adequate degree
of protection – watertightness – required by existing regulations.
the alarm outlet cable clamp is protected against s-
plashing and water jets by means of the plug mounted
onto it at the factory: the plug is to be removed only
when connecting the "ALARM".
Fastening to the wall the shower enclosure
i
I
(
15) Unwind the yellow-green cables (to be connected to
the inspection panels) located on the rear side of the shower base
and move them outwards.
i
I
(
15, detail 1) Remove the two brackets from the shower base
frame and position the shower enclosure against the wall. By means
of the hexagonal nuts lift the front rollers from off the floor so that
the shower base is supported only by the feet which were previously
adjusted (see "Shower base and wall compensators installation").
i
I
(
15, detail 1) Reposition the two brackets on the shower
base frame and fasten it to the by using 2 (1+1) screws and 2 (1+1)
washers, to be inserted into the plugs mounted previously.
i
I
(
16) Connect the yellow-green cables to the inspection
panels – found inside the glass panels' packaging – by means of
the relevant tabs.
i
I
(
16) Insert the inspection panels between the wall compen-
sators and the wall side aluminum frame. Then hook them to the
latches: the panels must be slightly raised so that the latches can
enter into the eyelets. Then press the panels downwards.
i
I
(
16) Drill a hole into the inspection panels by matching the
holes of the wall compensators.
i
I
(
16) Then fasten the shower enclosure to the wall compensators
with 6 (3+3) self-tapping screws and the relevant white screw caps.
Assembly of the shower base front panel
i
I
(
17) Check accurately that the distance between the edge of
the lower slide guide and the brackets amounts to ~8 mm. The
brackets must be as parallel as possible to the slide guides.
i
I
(
18) Insert the upper front panel edge into the lower slide
guide groove. The holes in the lower end of the front panel must
match perfectly with the slots in the brackets.
i
I
(
18) Fasten the front panel with 4 self-tapping screws.
Then cover the screws with the white caps supplied in the hardware bag.
Should the panel's perpendicularity need to be adjusted, use the brackets.
Completion of installation and checks

FOR ALL MODELS

I
Screw the shower hose to the wall tap fittings and screw the

.
shower head to the other end. The filter is to be inserted on the
wall fitting side.
I
Position the sliding hood – found inside the shower base box –
on top of the shower enclosure.
I
Check that the white caps have been placed on all visible
screws.
I
Before the unit is finally placed at the disposal of the user, it is
advisable to carry out a demonstration of all the unit's functions in
the presence of the user and to explain which maintenance tasks
are required and how often they are to be carried out.
Warnings and notes
• If FLEXA is supplied with hot water from an economic-type gas
boiler with mechanical flame modulation, the boiler may not be
able to supply water continuously at the required temperature, so
there may be some variations in the water temperature. In this case,
if it is not possible to replace the boiler with an electronic- mod-
ulation one, it is advisable to get a qualified service engineer to
lock the flame modulation of the boiler and only use the shower
enclosure mixer tap to regulate water temperature.
• After using any "water jet" function, switch off the mixer tap and/or
the water stop tap. We also recommend that you turn the diverter di-
al to the "outlet at foot level" position.
