4) CONTROLS AND MAIN COMPONENTS
1) ON/OFF Switch - turns the power supply on and off.
2) Red Pilot Lamp - when it is on, it means that the power source is turned on
3) Orange Pilot Lamp - when it is on, it means that the power source is overheated.Welding is interrupted,
the fan keeps on working. The light goes off when temperature goes back to normal operating levels and
welding is restarted.
4) Emergency stop switch - when pressed it interrupts welding immediately.
5) Socket for PEH control connection- permits to connect the PEH command
6) Negative Output terminal (-): for working cable connection.
7) Positive Output terminal (+): for connection of current cable to the welding device.
5) INSTALLATION
5.1) Receiving
When you receive a Power Source LAF 1250 BR, remove all packaging which involves the equipment and
check for possible damage which could have happened during shipping. Any complaints concerning
damages in transportation must be directed to the carrier company.
Carefully remove any obstacle to the cooling air.
Note: in case a Power Source LAF 1250 BR is not installed immediately, keep it in
the original packaging or stock it in a dry and well-ventilated place
5.2) Workplace
To have a safe and efficient operation many factors must be considered to determine where the welding
machine should be installed. Proper ventilation is necessary to cool the equipment and for the worker's
safety. The area also must be kept clean.
It is necessary to leave some room around the Power Source LAF 1250 BR with at least 700 mm width both
for ventilation and for access to operation or preventive or corrective maintenance.
Installation of any device to filter the environment air reduces the air volume available for refrigeration of the
machine and leads to overheating of internal components. Installation of any non authorized filtering device
cancels the equipment warranty.
5.3) Power supply
The requisites for power supply voltage are indicated on the nominal board. The Power Source LAF 1250 is
designed to operate with three-phase networks of 220, 380 or 440 V in 50 or 60 Hz. It must have an
independent feed line with full capacity to assure its best performance and reduce welding failures or
possible damage caused by other equipment such as by machines for resistance welding, impact presser
or electrical engines, etc.
