Power supply must be done through an exclusive switch with safety fuses or circuit breakers properly
dimensioned. The table below shows guiding for dimensioning cables and line fuses; consult local rules.

Power Source LAF 1250 BR is supplied for a link to a 440 V feeding network. In case feeding voltage is
different, primary connections must be changed as indicated in the electrical scheme. Removal of right side
parts provides direct access to terminal bars of primary connections. Change also the feeding of auxiliary
transformer (see electrical scheme).
N.B.: DO NO USE THE NEUTRAL OF POWER NETWORK FOR GROUNDING
5.4) Connection of welding devices used in the welding process
To interconnect the Power Source LAF 1250 BR to the wire feeder heads , Tractors for submerged arc or
other devices used for welding, refer to Instruction Manual of each equipment to be connected and, if
necessary, make changes in the connections to correctly operate the command of LAF 1250 BR, before
starting the operation. In case of doubts contact ESAB Technical Assistance Department (refer to last page
of this manual) or an ESAB Authorised Service.
5.4) Electronic Circuit Control
There are two switches mounted on the PC Board DIP (SW1 e SW2) which are programmed at the factory
and cannot be altered. Switch SW1 is used to determine communication between Power Source LAF 1250
with the A2-A6 Process Controller; while switch SW2 is to recognise the capacity of Power Source LAF
1250 BR.
Programming of Source LAF 1250 BR is recorded in the integrated circuit of IC6 memory. This circuit is
mounted on a support and can be substituted according to the described compatibility in the table below:
