8. Installation
Installation is described in detail in the separate Service
Instructions. This subsection can be used by the operating
company to plan installation.
8.1 Preparing the installation location
The owner and operators must ensure that all the conditions
listed below for structurally and technically safe and optimum
operation of the system are met prior to installation.
8.1.1 Requirements
•
Install indoors, out of direct sunlight in a well ventilated area
with sufficient lighting. Ambient temperature should be
controlled to prevent frost.
•
Comply with temperature and humidity specifications and
dilution water quality.
•
Mount to concrete walls/floors. (Wall mounting screws are
3.93" (100 mm).
•
Provide a power supply per section
•
System pressure is within equipment specifications.
•
Prepare dilution water line of potable water quality with valves
and appurtenances.
•
Floor drain for cleaning and sample water drain from
measuring cell.
•
Proper storage and isolated secondary containment of all
precursor chemical for both full and empty containers.
•
Comply with all applicable fire codes and regulations.
•
Equipment is secure from unauthorized access and complies
with all safety regulations for accident prevention.
•
Comply with all codes/regulations and OSHA guidelines for
ClO
exposure.
2
•
An electrical disconnecting device should be properly labeled,
and easy to read and operate.
Warning
Danger to life due to non-tripping of the residual
current device (RCD)!
If the device is connected to an electric
installation where a residual current device
(RCD) is used as an additional protection, this
RCD must trip when earth fault currents with DC
content (pulsating DC) and smooth DC earth fault
currents occur. This means that a RCD type B,
sensitive to universal current, must be used.
We recommend the installation of a gas warning
device:
Note
Note
DIA-G gas warning unit
- potentiostatic chlorine gas sensor
- measuring range: 0.00 to 1.00 ppm.
