Standard Piece List.

The piece description from the job is saved to the Standard Piece
List and cannot be changed.

3.11 Creating a Pick List

When using the Multiple Stock feature, pick the lumber
for each job ahead of time.
The Create Pick List option must also be checked in
General Options (Figure 9).
The program will create a Pick List for the current job
when the button is clicked or touched (Figure 9).
The Pick List can be created at the saw in regular
operating mode or in the office prior to sending the job
to the saw.

A file will be created with the same name as the job and
the extension ".stk". The file will be placed in the same
directory as the job. Chose one of two versions, with or
without cut details. Both versions contain the Pick List
and Summary information.

If the Pick List w/Cut Details are checked under
Program Options (Section 3.8.5), the file will also
contain details about each piece of stock that will
be cut. Each line contains the stock length, lumber
description, lumber size, and information about the
pieces placed on each stock piece. The file is stored
as comma delimited, allowing it to be imported
by a spreadsheet software. Figure 52 shows an
example of the complete file with Stock File Details,
Summary, and Pick List.

If the Pick List is generated without Cut Details, it
will generate a list of size, length, and grade only.

Figure 52 shows both cases, with or without cut details.

When a pick list is created, the options in effect at the time govern
how the job is going to be cut and how the lumber for that job
needs to be picked. So, it's very important that the job be cut
using the same options. To make sure that happens, the program
creates files that transfer the option information to the saw when
the job is cut. When a job is opened, the computer looks for these
files and resets the options to match the pick list options if
necessary. If a job is transferred, job information to the saw using
any means other than the network, for example a USB drive, it is
necessary to transfer all job related files to insure the settings will
be recognized by the saw.
When selecting a job that has a pick list, the screen will
display an alert that a pick list exists. The Create Pick
List button will change to View Pick List and a Delete
Picklist Data button will appear as circled in Figure 53. If
the pick list is deleted, both will return to their original
state and the transfer files will be erased. However, any
changes that the transfer files made to the options and
the lumber file will remain.
The View Pick List button will bring up the popup
labeled A in Figure 53:
