3.1

Prerequisite

The FAD-420-HS-EN Duct Smoke Detector is designed for use in ventilation systems with air
speeds from 1 m/s to 20 m/s.
Check the ventilation system specifications before installation to ensure these limits are
adhered to.
If in doubt, use an airflow measuring device to measure the air speed in the duct.
3.2

Installation position

Avoid selecting an installation position near ducts with dead-air space or areas with
turbulence.
