Certain technical experience is required for the mounting. If you are not sure how to carry out the work you should
leave it to be done by your SUZUKI dealership.
1.
Preparation before installation
a)
Park the motorcycle steady in a safe place.
b)
Keep the ignition key removed.
c)
Be sure not to damage any vehicle part.
d)
Check that all the parts are contained in the kit as listed in "Contents" section.
2.
Installation
a)
Dismount the left lower frame cover and the seat as mentioned in chapter 6 of the owner's manual.
b)
Dismount the right lower frame cover by pulling carefully at points X (picture 1).
c)
Disconnect the battery negative pole.
d)
Place the mounting bracket "6" (picture 2).
e)
Secure the mounting bracket by bending the bracket lugs with a slip joint pliers (picture 3
f)
Insert deeply the 18-pin harness connector in the alarm unit up to the security catch is clicking.
g)
Clean the unit mounting area of the bracket "6" and the unit bottom with a suitable cleaner.
h)
Apply the fixing bi-adhesive "4" on the bottom of the control unit.
i)
Remove the bi-adhesive plastic film.
