In order to avoid safety hazards, if the power supply cord
needs to be replaced, this must be done by Bosch or by an
after-sales service centre that is authorised to repair Bosch
power tools.
Wear a protective mask of protection class FFP2 or
u
higher and disposable protective suit according to the
relevant provisions when carrying out maintenance
and cleaning of the dust extractor. Maintenance and
cleaning may only be carried out by persons with
proof of expertise.
The housing of the dust extractor must be thoroughly vacu-
umed and wiped clean with a damp cloth, or treated with
sealant, before the dust extractor can be removed from the
hazardous area. All dust extractor parts must be considered
to be contaminated when taken from the hazardous area, ap-
propriate precautions must be taken. All parts not suffi-
ciently cleaned during maintenance/repair must be disposed
of (in impermeable bags).
For the user to carry out maintenance, the dust extractor
needs to be disassembled, cleaned and maintained as far as
this is possible without endangering maintenance personnel
or other persons. Before disassembly, the dust extractor
should be cleaned to prevent any potential hazards. The pro-
cesses described in the Assembly chapter form part of the
maintenance routine. The room/enclosure in which the dust
extractor is disassembled should be well ventilated. Wear
personal protective equipment while carrying out mainten-
ance.
After completing maintenance, the maintenance area should
be cleaned.
A technical inspection must be carried out at least once a
year by the manufacturer or someone who has been trained,
e.g. to check for filter damage and to check that the dust ex-
tractor is tight and that the control unit is functioning cor-
rectly.
In addition to this, the effectiveness of the filter must be in-
spected at least annually in accordance with
EN 60335-2-69, 22.AA.201.2.
National requirements may also necessitate more frequent
inspection.
If the filter is no longer deemed effective, it must be replaced
and the test must be repeated.
Removing/changing the flat-pleated filter (see figures
I1–I2)
The suction power is dependent on the condition of the fil-
ter. Therefore, the filter should be cleaned regularly.
If the flat-pleated filter (28) becomes damaged, replace it
immediately.
– Loosen the two locking screws (38) and push the
closing (19) flap latch downwards.
– Pull on the closing flap (18) and open the filter
cover (39).
Problem
Suction turbine will not switch on.

– Hold the flat-pleated filter (28) by the supports and take
it out from above.
– Use a damp cloth to remove any dust and dirt that ac-
crues around the closing edge of the filter cover (39)
when removing the flat-pleated filter (28).
– Insert the cleaned (or a new) flat-pleated filter (28), en-
suring that it is positioned correctly and securely.
– Close the filter cover (39) (you should hear it click into
place).
– Push the closing (19) flap latch up again and tighten both
locking screws (38).
Cleaning the container
– Wipe the container (1) from time to time using a non-ab-
rasive off-the-shelf cleaning product and leave it to dry.
Cleaning the fill level sensors (see figure J)
Make sure that the fill level sensors are cleaned (40) occa-
sionally.
– Open the catches (13) and remove the top part of the va-
cuum cleaner (12).
– Clean the fill level sensors (40) using a soft cloth.
– Put the top part of the vacuum cleaner (12) on and close
the catches (13).
Storage and transport (see figure K)
– Before transporting the dust extractor, remove any full
disposal bags or safety filter bags and empty any liquids
that have been absorbed, in order to prevent back injur-
ies.
– Wrap the power cable around the cable holder (17).
– Insert the accessories into the holders provided for them:
Suction tubes (33) into the holders (20), crevice
nozzle (29) into the holder (21), floor nozzle (32) into
the holder (22).
– Open the elastic bands of the vacuum hose holder (4)
and wrap the vacuum hose (25) around the top part of
the dust extractor in the holder (4).
Hook the elastic bands back in.
– Only ever carry the dust extractor by the carrying
handle (10).
– Store the dust extractor in a dry room and secure it so
that it cannot be used by unauthorised persons.
– Put the castor brake (15) down to hold the castors (16)
in place.
Rectifying faults
If a fault (e.g. a filter damage) occurs, the vacuum
u
cleaner must be switched off immediately. The fault
must be repaired before resuming operation.
Warning! The dust extractor contains dust particles that
pose a risk to health. Observe all the safety warnings in
these instructions.
Corrective measures
– Check the mains cable, mains plug, fuse, socket and fill level sensors (40).
