10. TIPS FOR CRUSHING AND FOR DUST REDUCTION
- Do not operate the machine in small rooms or closed rooms without ventilation.
Always set the machine to work in an open and ventilated place.
- Use filtering equipment appropriate to the work environment.
Moisten the rubble with a hose before it is crushed. Dust emissions will be reduced by up to 80%.
Do not wet excessivelyelse sludge should be generated inside the hopper and the crushing cham-
ber. Also perform a crush test without moistening to compare results and to gain more experience.
Each country has different rules regarding the use of respiratory protection depending on workplace and hours
of exposure. Before starting to grind, consult with the safety and hygiene personnel which type of respiratory
protection you should use.
Do not introduce rubble pieces larger to the size indicated in this manual.
The machine must be handled by just one operator. Do not have more than one person feeding the machine. Crushing
speed is proportional to the dimensions and hardness of the rubble pieces.
Do not disconnect the machine till it has already finished crushing, un-
less there is an emergency. If you disconnect the machine with traces
of rubble inside the crushing chamber, the motor will not have enough
power to get back on track.
