3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To avoid serious injury to persons or property, please read these safety instructions carefully.
Using the crusher for a purpose or application other than those described in this manual may result in serious accidents.
Please be sure to follow all instructions
Use protection gear.
Both, employer and employee, must endeavour to use
the eyes safety gear, gloves, ear protection and mask
while operating this machine. The protection gear must
accommodate the laws and norms in force.
Keep children away from this machine.
Do not allow spectators, specially kids, near the working
area when the machine is on.
Do not use the machine near flammable substances or
explosive atmospheres.
Never use the machine near flammable substances or
vapors of any kind. The gases released from these subs-
tances can be absorbed by the engine and cause an ex-
plosion.
Check the machine and its parts before using it. Verify
that all the screws are properly tightened. Poor adjust-
ment of the screws can cause breakage or accident. If
parts are missing or require repair, contact your dealer
immediately. Always use original parts.
Do not insert large-dimension rock materials, reinforced
concrete, metal, plastic, wood, pavers and other mate-
rials not indicated in this manual.
If you enter any unfit material, stop the machine and do
not continue working with it, less you could be damaged
as well as the machine. See in this manual how to remo-
ve unsuitable materials.
Do not open the hinged door to observe the interior while
the machine is running. You could suffer serious damage.
Do not insert your hand into the grinding chamber while
the machine is running. It could suffer the amputation of
some member.
Do not use the machine under the rain, as
the electric hazard risk is high.
Do not connect the machine while the hopper is open,
and the hammers are visible and at your hands reach.
You could suffer serious damage.
The wheels must be locked with the brakes before star-
ting to crush rubble, less the operator might suffer se-
rious damage.
Do not stand looking closely while the machine is run-
ning and without the protective curtains. Serious dama-
ge could follow.
Do not operate the machine in closed small rooms wi-
thout proper ventilation.
Do not disconnect the machine before it has finished
crushing the full load, unless an emergency occurs. If
you switch off the machine with traces of rubble inside
the crushing chamber, the motor may not have enough
power to start up again.
Do not use household hoses or splices. Use standardi-
zed extension hoses with a conductor section as indi-
cated in the pictogram shown on the machine. Connect
the machine directly to a job site suitable electric switch-
board or differential switch. Do not use low power plugs
for the machine connection.
Do not use the machine when it is not working properly. If
the machine does not work properly, contact your dealer
to have it repaired.
Make sure the machine is in good conditions. To main-
tain the functionality and quality of work of the machine,
give proper maintenance and make sure it is regularly
checked.
