2.5. Electrical safety
The design values for electrical safety can be found below.
2.5.1. Overvoltage category (OVC)
These units comply with the standards IEC 62109-1 and IEC 62109-2.
These devices have been designed with an overvoltage category II (OVC II) on the DC side, and the alternating
current circuits with an overvoltage category III (OVC III).
2.6. Pollution degree
The units comply with pollution degree 2, as required for this type of inverter.
2.7. Acoustic contamination
The unit produces a buzz when in operation. Do not place it in an occupied room, or on light supports which might
amplify this buzz. The mounting surface must be firm and appropriate for the weight of the unit.
2.8. Electrical diagram of the system
INFO
This unit uses the neutral terminal only for measurement purposes, and it is possible to work without the neutral
cable, stay connected to grid and inject power from the PV array. However, there are regulations that require
monitoring the grid phase voltage, either during normal operation or during the grid transients. In this case
failure to include the neutral cable may imply a non-compliance with the requirements of said regulation.
