9. Maintenance and repairs

Unplug the pump plug before undertaking any maintenance operation.
In the event of defective pump functioning, it is necessary to contact an authorised specialised service centre
to make repairs. The pump can be opened or modified only upon authorisation from the manufacturer. Use
only original spare parts.
Please note that we decline any responsibility for damage caused by our pump being opened and reassembled
without our authorisation or that of an authorised service centre. The same holds true in the case that non-
original spare parts are fitted.
The same conditions are valid for any accessory supplied with the pump.
If the pump is used with liquids that have a tendency to leave deposits, we recommend that you wash it
frequently with clean water.
In order to prevent any problems arising after long periods of pump operation, we recommend that you have
it checked once a year by a specialised service centre.
If the cable is damaged, please apply an authorized centre only for the replacement.
During maintenance the following parts should be checked:
Check
Wear on the stainless steel plates
Wear on the impeller
Motor oil status/level
PROBLEM
The pump
does not
start up
The pump runs but
the quantity of
water is low or nil
The pump
stops due to
overheating
and the
thermal
protection is
consequently
triggered
Solution
Replace with new ones
Replace with a new one
Adjust oil level or change the oil (if there is inclusion of water)
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Lack of voltage.
Blocked impeller.
Low speed due to insufficient voltage.
Water level below the minimum for suction.
Suction grille clogged.
Outlet pipe clogged.
Impeller/ plates worn.
Power supply does not conform to the motor
rating plate data.
A solid body has blocked the hydraulic part.
The pump has operated dry.
The pump has operated with water that is too
hot.
Make sure that the plug is inserted properly in
the socket and that there is voltage on the line.
Remove the outlet lid and check that there
are no solid bodies blocking the rotor or that
the impeller is damaged.
Stop the pump and check the voltage and
the electrical system.
Stop the pump and check the water level.
Clean the grille and if necessary the
hydraulic part.
Remove the pipe and clean it.
Replace the plates and/or impeller.
Disconnect the plug. The pump cannot be
used with the existing electrical system.
Check the hydraulic part.
If the pump has not been permanently
damaged, following a cooling period of
about 15 minutes it will restart automatically.
Eliminate the cause of the overheating.
