1. General safety instructions

Definition of the symbols used in this manual.
The instructions regarding safety in this instruction manual are marked with the generic danger
symbol, DIN 4844-W 9.
Not heeding these instructions can cause serious injuries.
For the measures to be taken regarding the danger of high voltage, the DIN 4844-W 8 symbol will
be used.
Instructions regarding safety
In addition to the instructions given in this section, other safety rules will be given in the subsequent sections.
It is understood that all the generic recommendations and regulations not indicated in this manual remain
valid. This manual contains a series of safety precautions regarding installation, use, and maintenance.
It is therefore indispensable for this manual to be read by the specialised technician who will install the
machine. Moreoever, we recommend that you keep this manual in a safe and secure place on the installation
site so that it can be consulted at any moment. It is absolutely prohibited the use of the machine by persons
who are not able to consult the manual. Keep the machine out of the reach of children and youth under 16
years old. Before beginning repair or maintenance works, rinse the pump in clean water.
During operation it is prohibited to remain in the place where the pump is installed. For any lack of observance
of the instructions in this manual, we decline any responsibility.

3. Transport
To transport the pump, never use the electrical cable or the outlet pipe but only use a rope or
chain hooked to the two holes on the pump outlet. Do not allow the pump to strike objects or fall.
4. Disposal
The pumped liquid may be polluted due to a leakage of lubricant. The lubricant used inside the
pump (PAO ISO 100) is however nontoxic and it satisfies the requirements specified in the directives of the
section 21 CFR 178.3570 of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) standards, approved according to
USDA-H1 from NSF.
