Installation instructions:
1.)
Remove the spare wheel.
With plastic bumpers: Cut out the back bumper in the center from underneath 65 mm wide and 75
mm deep.
The cut-out section in a metal bumper is to be cut at 65 mm wide and the corresponding depth.
2.)
Remove the stickers (beneath the underbody protection) at the vehicle's mounting points in the
longitudinal beams at " a " ," f " , and " h " ; in the tail plate at " b " and " c " ; in the back cross
brace at " e " and insert the caged hexagon nuts " 4 " in the openings of the body work.
3.)
Bring the towing hitch part " 1 " under the vehicle, aligning it with the mounting points, and at " a "
and " b " loosely screw with the hexagon screws M10x35 and the 30x10.5x3 washers.
4.)
Insert the brace " 3 " between the left side-part of the towing hitch part " 1 " and the left longitudinal
beam of the vehicle and loosely screw at " f " with the hexagon-screw M10x35, washer 30x10.5x3
and the body work. Using the hexagon nut M10x35, the washers 30x10.5x3 and the hexagon nut
M10, loosely screw at " g " the towing hitch's side-part to the brace " 3 ". Using the hexagon-nut
M10x35 and the washer 30x10.5x3 loosely screw the brace " 3 " from below to the longitudinal
beam.
5.)
Align the towing hitch part's oblong hole " 1 " at " c " with the vehicle's fastening point, and screw
on tightly using the hexagon nut M10x35 and the washer 30x10.5x3.
6.)
Using the hexagon nut M10x35 and the washer 30x10.5x3 screw the towing hitch's right side-part at
" a " to the vehicle's longitudinal beam.
Torque for M10 = 40 Nm +10%
7.)
Unscrew the hexagon nut and washer at c.
8.)
Bring brace " 2 " between the towing hitch's part " 1 " and the vehicle's rear cross brace, and using
the hexagon nut M10x35 and washer 30x10.5x3 loosely screw at " c " to the towing hitch " 1 " and
the rear cross brace. If a gap occurs at "e" between the brace and the vehicle's cross brace, then
this is to be eliminated using compensation washers 12.5x30x0.88. Using the hexagon nut M10x35,
the washers 30x10.5x3, and the hexagon nut M10 loosely screw at " d " brace " 2 " to the towing
hitch " 1 ".
At " e " loosely screw the brace " 2 " to the vehicle's rear cross brace.
9.)
Tighten all screws/hexagon nuts with the same torque.
Torque for M10 = 40 Nm +10%
10.) Put spare wheel back in place.
