The J.N.C. classifi cation is only a general guideline, as individual blood pressure measurements vary accor-
ding to population, gender, age group, etc.
Irregular heart beat indicator
The monitor has an irregular heart beat indicator.
When taking readings, the monitor calculates the heart beat frequency and if it detects a beat or beats that
are far higher or lower than the mean frequency, a symbol appears on the display.
If this symbol appears regularly, we suggest you to contact your doctor. An irregular heart beat may be due
to numerous factors and only your doctor can assess the situation properly.
The indicators "Pressure level" and "Irregular heart beat" have no diagnostic value but simply provide
general information.
