Operation with Remote Automatic
Switching (PAS 12-27 F)
A socket outlet with earthing contact 8 is inte-
grated in the vacuum cleaner. It is possible to
connect an external power tool here. The vacuum
cleaner is automatically started via the connected
power tool. Please observe the maximum allow-
able connection load of the connected power
tool; see section „Unit Specifications".
Set the operating mode switch 1 to II.
For connecting the power tools, various hose
systems are available as accessories.
Switching on: Switch on the power tool. The
vacuum cleaner switches on au-
tomatically.
Switching off: Switch off the power tool. The
vacuum cleaner switches off au-
tomatically after approx. 6 sec-
onds.

Wet Vacuuming

Danger of explosion and fire! Do not vac-
uum inflammable or explosive fluids; for
example, petrol, oil, alcohol, solvents. Do
not vacuum hot or burning dust. Do not op-
erate the machine in rooms where the dan-
ger of an explosion exists.
The machine is intended for vacuuming air
and water mixtures. The machine is not to
be used as a water pump.
The dust bag 13 must be removed before wet
vacuuming.
Empty the container before wet vacuuming.
When the maximum filling height is reached, the
air flow is interrupted by the float 2. The machine
stops vacuuming.
Switch off the machine immediately.
Before opening and emptying, always pull the
plug from the socket outlet.
To prevent the forming of mould, remove the per-
manent filter 3 from the machine and allow it to
dry thoroughly before using it again for dry vacu-
uming.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
Always keep the machine clean.
To maintain the optimum performance of the
machine, we recommended cleaning the per-
manent filter 3 after each use. For this pur-
pose, clean the permanent filter with a brush or
rinse with water.
Wipe out the container 12 from time to time with
a commercially available, non-scouring cleaning
agent and allow to dry.
Replacing the Permanent Filter
(see figure
)
A
The permanent filter 3 can be changed if re-
quired. Cut the band on the soiled filter and re-
move the inserted plastic basket. Press the plas-
tic basket firmly into the new permanent filter 3.
If the machine should fail despite the care taken
in manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an authorized after-sales
service agent for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the 10-digit article number
given on the nameplate of the machine.
WARNING! Important instructions for con-
necting a new 3-pin plug to the 2-wire cable.
The wires in the cable are coloured according to
the following code:
strain relief
live = brown
neutral = blue
Do not connect the blue or brown wire to the
earth terminal of the plug.
Important: If for any reason the moulded plug is
removed from the cable of this machine, it must
be disposed of safely.
