3. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by chil-
dren, unless they are older than 8 years and are supervised.
4. Keep the appliance and the power cord out of the reach of chil-
dren under 8 years.
Electrical safety
5. Connect appliance only to an AC power supply with voltage as
specified on the rating plate.
6. Only use the appliance indoors.
7. This appliance may not be operated with an external timer or a
remote control system.
8. After use, before cleaning or if there are faults during operation,
always unplug the mains plug.
9. Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids, protect
the power cord from moisture.
10. Except for the removable carrier plate the appliance is not dish-
washer safe.
11. The appliance is intended for household use only, or for similar
areas of use, such as,
ƒ kitchenettes in businesses, offices or other workplaces,
ƒ agricultural enterprises,
ƒ for use by guests in hotels, motels or other lodgings,
ƒ in private guest houses or holiday homes.
12. For safety reasons, never place or operate the appliance on or in
the vicinity of hot surfaces.
13. Carefully and completely unwind the power cord before use.
14. The cable must not hang down over the edge of the work surface.
15. Ensure that the power cord does not touch the hot appliance.
16. Never leave the appliance unattended when the mains plug is
plugged in.
17. Check the plug and the power cord regularly for wear or dam-
age. In case of damage to the power cord or other parts, send
the appliance for inspection and repair to our customer service
department. Unauthorised repairs can result in serious risks for
the user and void the warranty.
