Additional Safety and Operation Instructions
Verify if the voltage of the machine is the same of
the power supply.
Carefully read the instructions and get familiar
with the controls and the proper use of equipment.
Remember that the operator or user is responsible
for any accident or injury involving people or
their property.
Do not use the equipment barefoot or in sandals.
While using the machine, always wear shoes,
long pants, glasses, gloves and ear protectors.
Avoid operating the equipment in humid places.
Use equipment with good lighting.
Before the introduction of any material, start the
motor and allow it to reach its maximum speed.
Do not put anything on the shredder with the
motor disconnected.
Do not use the equipment during periods of
power failure.
Whenever you perform any cleaning or
maintenance, first make sure the motor is
disconnected and the blade is stopped and
remove the power cable from the power take-off.
If the machine starts to vibrate, immediately
turn off and unplug it from the power supply.
Check the cause of vibration as it indicates that
the equipment needs adjustment or repair.
Attention!
Regularly check that all screws are tight,
mainly counter blade screw. Always keep
the blade adjusted to ensure the good
operation of the shredder.
Check the condition of the power cable and never
repair with duct tape.
Never use a water jet to clean the equipment, use
a damp cloth and mild detergent. Water inside the
equipment can damage the motor electrical circuits,
and increase the risk of electric shock.
Never use the shredder without the belt guard.
If the shredder does not develop the necessary power,
contact TRAPP technical assistant or electrician you
trust to check the electrical conditions of your grid,
avoiding motor burning due to overload.
If during shredder start the motor does not start
(jammed), turn it off immediately.
Clean shredder regularly to prevent accumulation of
waste.
Realizing any anomaly in the operation of the
shredder, turn it off and look for TRAPP nearest
technical assistance.
When introducing organic material, do so with
an appropriate instrument, never with the hand or
metallic material.
Attention!
Whenever you perform any cleaning
or maintenance, first make sure that
the machine is off and blades fully
stopped, because after the equipment is
disconnected the blades continue to move
for a few moments.
