Translation from the original manual :

1- Safety instructions

The use of the additives injector for VIRAFAL® is restricted to personnel having read and understood this
operating manual. In this context, observe more particularly the special safety instructions in this operating
manual, take into consideration the safety principles linked with the installations, and safety instructions on
the cleaning product containers.
2- Installation and operation
2.1. Cleaning circuits
Three steps are required to clean heating circuits:
First step: Mechanical cleaning of the system
System cleaning using a Water + Air mix. After cleaning, the pipes are mechanically clean.
Effectiveness loss due to contaminations are eliminated.
Second step: Chemical cleaning of the system
Chemical cleaning by the Virax sludge remover for radiators ref. 295055 or Virax sludge remover-
sanitizer for heated floors ref. 295056 rids the system from potential contamination residue. Chemical cleaning
slows down new system pollution and is used as a base for subsequent condition maintaining.
Third step: System condition maintaining
The Virax protection ref. 295057 implements a protection coat inside the pipe ensuring long time
protection of the system.
Preparation :
Mount the additives injector for VIRAFAL® on the water outlet side of the VIRAFAL®, in the flow
direction. To do this, unscrew the coupling located on one of the sides of the injector and screw it back onto the
other side of the injector, before screwing it onto the VIRAFAL®. Turn the container adapter vertically and down,
then tighten the coupling. Connect the compressed air pipe to the lateral compressed air coupling.
Also mount the pressure reducer (fixed setting 2 bar) for VIRAFAL® (ref. 295052) in the flow direction,
onto the water inlet side of the VIRAFAL®. Ensure the reducer is fitted properly (arrow on the reducer in the
flow direction).
Note: in case of mechanical cleaning of the system, fitting the reducer is optional, although it is required for
subsequent chemical cleaning.
To guarantee drinking water safety, insert before the cleaning compressor a pipe or system disconnecter
meeting the NF EN 1717 standard. ("Protection against drinking water pollution in interior networks and general
requirements for return pollution protection devices").
First step - Mechanical cleaning of the system:
Apply the operating instructions of the VIRAFAL®!
Check that the lever is in the "no additive" position. Follow the instructions in the instruction manual of the
VIRAFAL®. Clean the installation as described. Then, stop the sludge removal unit (press the "On / Off"
program key) and cut the water supply.
Second step - Chemical cleaning of the system:
1. Mount the pressure reducer for VIRAFAL® ref. 295052, water inlet side.
2. Open the container of the additive chosen and mount it on the additives injector. The bottle without its cap is
screwed directly onto the adapter.
CAUTION: In case of misuse, there is a risk of fluid leak outside the container. Avoid any contact with it.
3. Set the lever to the "with additive" position
4. Press the "On / Off" program key. The compressor fills the air tank automatically
5. Open the water inlet. Open the pipe system.
6.
- Press the "CONTINUOUS Water / Air FLOW" program key. The chemicals in the container are added to the
passing flow. The process is complete once the container empty.
In the case of larger systems, several containers may be required (read the indications on the container).
