Installation and assembly
The sets should be fixed on a flat, solid surface by means of screws using the holes on
the steel base plate in order to avoid unwanted noise and vibrations. It should be
situated as near as possible to the water level in order to obtain a minimum suction run
and reduce load losses. Ensure to place the sets somewhere safe from any possible
flooding and with proper ventilation.
Assembly of pipes
Both the suction and the discharging pipes must have at least the same diameter as the
-
pump suction port.
The pipe installation must remain hermetic as any air intake causes considerable loss of
-
flow suction.
Elbows, valves and strangulations must be avoided as well as any cause of flow loss.
-
Neither the suction pipe nor the driving pipe should rest their weight on the pump.
-
Place a pressure reducing valve before the burner to prevent pressure oscillations on it.
-
Electrical connection
The power supply cord has to comply with the CEE regulation or abide by the HO7RN-F
rule, according to VDE O25O.
The electric installation has to be protected by a differential switch.
The monophasic motors include incorporated thermal protection.
Regarding triphasic motors, the costumer has to add some protection according to the
current regulation.
The connection schemes provide a proper electrical connection.
Controls prior to initial start-up
Check that the tension and frequency of the mains correspond to those indicated on
the name plate. Make sure that the motor shaft rotates freely.
Check the priming of the pump (see the explanation Assembly of Pipes)
Check that the sense of rotation of the motor coincides with that indicated on the fan
cover.
On three-phase motors, if the sense of rotation is incorrect, invert two phases on the
protection panel.
