2 - SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Do not operate, service or repair the equipment, if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, which could
impair your alertness or co-ordination.
Only well trained and qualified personnel, who have read this Use and Maintenance Manual carefully, are allowed
to use the tool.
Keep children and animals away from the tool.
Do not alter the safety and protective devices.
The operator is the only responsible for injuries caused to other people or for damages caused to their belongings.
Do not use the tool when you are in an unstable position or off balance.
It is forbidden to operate the tool while standing on a ladder.
Keep the moving parts away from your face.
Before any maintenance operations are carried-out, switch the tool off.
Before any routine maintenance operation, read this Use and Maintenance Manual carefully. For any other
maintenance operation, which is not described in this manual, take the tool to a CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Authorised
Service Point.
The tool shall be used for the purposes described in par. "Product Description" only. Other uses could cause
injuries and/or damages.
When the tool is not used, select the OFF mode in the switch (6).
When refuelling, the engine shall be switched off and kept away from flames.

2.2 Use

Always wear goggles or a visor, safety shoes and anti-vibration gloves and a noise-abatement headset (picture D).
When carrying the tool, the engine shall be off. The shoulder strap shall be worn as indicated (picture G).
The user is responsible for accidents or dangers which can occur to other people or their belongings.
Always hold the tool with both hands on the hand grip and keep a stable and safe work position, according to the description.
It is advisable that two operators alternate in the use of the tool, carrying out one work hour and one break hour.
A continuative use can tire the operator too much.
Use the tool just for olive or coffee bean harvesting. Do not use it for any other tasks. It could cause injuries!

2.3 Maintenance

WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance operations or adjustments of the mechanical parts of the equipment, wear
protective shoes, gloves and goggles.
Routine maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by an operator with the necessary physical and intellectual
qualifications.
Special maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by a service mechanic.
Keep bystanders away when servicing or repairing the machine.
Only service mechanics are authorized to inactivate the safety devices provided on the machine when maintenance is
to be performed. It is their responsibility to safeguard the operators and the machine. The safety devices shall be activated
as soon as the maintenance operations have been completed.
Before any maintenance operations or mechanical adjustments are carried-out, switch the tool off.
All maintenance procedures not dealt with in this manual are to be performed at a CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Authorized
Service Point.
When maintenance or repairs have been completed, the machine can be started again only if duly authorized by the
service mechanic. The service mechanic must make sure:

work has been completed;
-
the machine runs in a trouble-free way;
-
the safety devices are activated;
-
no one is working on the machine.
