Checking: Check the hygienic exhaust filter regularly, at

Cleaning: If during checking you see that the filter is
dirty, clean it as described below:
1. Switch the appliance off and observe the instructions
under
Chapter 3.2, "Switching off and retracting the
power cable".
2. Release the exhaust filter cover by the recessed handle
provided for this purpose (Fig. 24/1) and remove it.

3. Remove the hygienic exhaust filter by pulling the tab
provided for this purpose (Fig. 25).
4. Clean the hygienic exhaust filter by tapping out the dust
over a dustbin. If this is insufficient, brush the dirt off with
a soft brush, e.g. the furniture brush supplied with the
appliance.
If dry cleaning is insufficient, additionally rinse the filter in
clear, cold water.
ATTENTION:

The filter is washable, but it may not be cleaned in
dishwashers or washing-machines Also, please do not
use cleansers for cleaning the filters. Leave the filter
element to dry after cleaning (approx. 24 hours at room
temperature). Only re-insert it when it is completely dry.
5. Put the cleaned hygienic exhaust filter back with the tab
pointing up (Fig. 25).
6. Then replace the exhaust filter cover by hooking it in
with the top side first (Fig. 26/a). Lock the cover by

pressing firmly until you hear and feel it snap into place
(Fig. 26/b).
NOTE:
It might be necessary to push a bit harder.
Make sure when doing this that the cover clicks fully into
place behind both projections provided for this purpose
(Fig. 27). Otherwise the cover and possibly even the
exhaust filter will fall out easily.
