 Similar types of thermoplastic materials have widely
varying thermal behaviour. The molecular structure and
the additives used are dominant factors. It is therefore
necessary to determine temperature data by
experiment. The processing temperature (data sheets,
data books) is useful as a starting point.
Trouble Shooting
If the WST 82 heats unevenly or remains cold, the following
should be checked:
1. Temperature setting
2. Connection to control unit
3. The resistance at plug
Between pins 2 and 4 = approx. 22 Ohm
Between pins 1 and 2 = approx. 9 Ohm
Between pins 1 and 2 = approx. 7 Ohm
If other values are measured, the heater element is
defective.
