3 Safety instructions
Attention!
Improper use can weaken components of the prosthetic foot. To
avoid the risk of accident and possible injury to the patient, the
foot must no longer be used after a sudden loss of function has
occurred. This noticeable loss of function can manifest itself as
reduced support during roll-over or decreased forefoot resistance.
Measure
Have the prosthetic foot examined and, if necessary, replaced at
a specialist workshop.
Please avoid exposing prosthetic components to
• corrosive elements such as fresh water, salt water, and acids, or
• abrasive substances (e.g. sand).
Using this medical product under the mentioned environmental
conditions will render all claims against Otto Bock HealthCare
null and void.
The material is not resistant to UV rays or hydrolysis.
The surface of this prosthetic foot must not be damaged by grind-
ing, as this would lead to premature wear.
Please inform your patients.
4 Description and functional properties
This prosthetic foot combines the proven functional capabilities of the Gre-
issinger ankle with a new flexible keel foot (similar to 1D10).
The integral titanium adapter, combined with the internal elastomeric con-
nections, permits multi-axial ankle movement. Plantar flexion following heel
contact is controlled by compression of the ring-shaped rocking rubber,
which also provides an elastic dorsiflexion limit in late stance phase. Con-
trolled inversion, eversion, internal rotation, and external rotation are also
provided by this mechanism.
The Greissinger Plus is a complete ankle-foot assembly and includes the
2R86 Foam Connection Cap for finishing.
