Connecting the valve system electrics

The valve system can be controlled in two ways:
Via multipole plugs
Via a bus coupler
The following fieldbus protocols are available for the version
with bus coupler:
PROFIBUS DP
DeviceNet
CANopen
EtherNet/IP
PROFINET IO
These instructions will only describe connection of versions
with multipole plug. For information on electrical
connection of versions with bus coupler, see the respective
manual of the bus coupler.
There are two multipole plug connector pins permanently
assigned to valve solenoids 12 and 14 for each valve position.
Only connect solenoid 14 for single solenoids. The second
control for solenoid 12 remains unused.
Connect the two solenoids 14 and 12 for double solenoids.
The following assignments are made in the 3/2 directional
valves:
– Solenoid 14 and pneumatic connection 4
– Solenoid 12 and pneumatic connection 2
With a CL03-XL subbase for parallel control of the valves,
the next subbase will also be controlled at the same time.
It is possible to increase the total number of valve positions
to 18, but the maximum number of controllable solenoids
remains 32.
When programming the control, make sure that
no additional connection pin is required for this.
