8.1.2 Inserting a valve

1. Place the new valve (5) on the free subbase. Make sure
the contacts are straight and that the seal (18) is seated
correctly. Press gently on the valve's electrical connector
end until the electrical contact is made.
2. Fasten the valve (17) with two self-tapping captive cross
recessed screws (19). Tightening torque 1.1–1.3 Nm.
Screwdriver PZD no. 1.
3. Make sure that the manual override is in position 0.
Turn it carefully with a screwdriver if necessary.
4. Replace the valve cover (1). Make sure the seal (7)
is correctly positioned. Tighten the three hexagon screws (2)
to 1.0–1.2 Nm.

8.1.3 Reinstating connections

5. Make the pneumatic connections to the valve system
(see "Connecting the valve system pneumatics" on page 71).
6. Version with multipole plug: Make the electrical
connections on the multipole plug if the connector pins
assigned to the new position have not yet been connected.
Version with bus coupler: Consider the additional valve
position in the control.
