Material side [12]
■ Screw seal retainer [12-2] in to nozzle
head [12-1] with socket wrench
[12-3].
Air side [13]
■ Screw seal retainer [13-2] in to gun
body [13-1] with screw driver [13-3].
Secure with Loctite 242.
■ Position nozzle head [11-5] on gun
body [11-4].
■ Position the four lock washers [11-6]
on the machine screws [11-7].
■ Tighten the four machine screws in a
criss-cross pattern.
■ Install paint needle [11-3].
■ Install spring [11-2].
■ Screw on end cap [11-1].
■ Screw on regulator cap (for variants
with material flow control).
■ Adjust required material flow rate (see
Chap. 9.2).
10.4. Replace control piston
components
Notice!
If the control piston collar is dam-
aged, air can escape from the
inspection hole end cap [1-3] (in
variants with material flow con-
trol, this is the material flow con-
trol inspection hole [1-7]).
→ Replace collar immediately.
The sealing surface of the collar
is extremely sensitive and can be
damaged easily.
→ Do not clamp sealing surface in
place to tighten collar.
Remove components

■ Unscrew and remove regulator
cap (for variants with material flow
control).
■ Unscrew and remove end cap [14-1].
■ Remove spring [14-2].
■ Remove paint needle [14-3].
■ Unscrew and remove control piston
[14-6] from paint needle.
■ Remove collar [14-5] from control
piston.
■ Remove washer [14-4] from paint
needle.
■ Check parts for damage and contami-
nation, clean or replace as required.
Install new components
■ Slide washer [14-4] onto paint needle
[14-3].
■ Slide collar [14-5] onto control piston.
Pay attention to alignment of groove
[14-7].
■ Screw control piston [14-6] onto paint
needle.
■ Install paint needle [14-3].
■ Install spring [14-2].
■ Screw on end cap [14-1].
■ Screw on regulator cap (for variants
with material flow control).
■ Adjust required material flow rate (see
Chap. 9.2).
11. Care and Storage
Careful handling as well as continu-
ous service and care of the product
are required to guarantee proper
function of the automatic gun.
Clean automatic guns each time
after use and check for proper func-
tion and leakage.
After cleaning, dry entire automatic
gun with clean compressed air.
