TO MOW: USING THE LAWNMOWER
MULCHING
Mulching consists of cutting
the grass several times using
a special cutting system and
depositing the clippings on
the ground. There is therefore
nothing to collect. And the
resulting mulch is good for the
lawn, as it stops the soil drying
out.
NB: Mulching is not recom-
mended if the law is «felted» or
contains moss. The clippings
would remain on the surface
and could not be absorbed
into the soil. In this case, the
lawn should be scarified regu-
larly and fertiliser applied.
- Remove the grass bag.
- Turn the mowing system
selector
to
(2-fig.15).

Tip:
• The grass should not be too
long or too damp.
• Always adapt the cutting
height to the length and
density of the grass to be
cut and the weather condi-
tions. Never cut more than
20 mm of grass at a time.
• Advance slowly and ensure
the passes overlap.
• Observe the surface mown:
there should be no cut
grass deposited on the
surface. If traces of grass
are visible, you will need
to raise the cutting height
until you obtain the correct
result.
• Mulch once or twice a week
the
position
depending on how fast the
grass grows.
MOWING WITHOUT GRASS
COLLECTION
For occasional mowing of
long grass, you can use your
mower without the grass bag.
- Remove the grass bag.
- Turn the mowing system
selector
to
the
(1-fig.15).
In this configuration the
safety shield/deflector pro-
tects you against grass pro-
jections. Do not use the
machine with a damaged or
missing shield/deflector. Do
not
remove
it
account.
Tip: After passing once on
the high position, you can
complete the mowing with
a second passage at the
appropriate cutting height.
