• Thepositivecable(heavy redwire) is securedto the
positivebatteryterminal(+)with a hexbolt and hex
nut at thefactory.Makecertainthat the rubberboot
coversthe terminalto help protectit fromcorrosion.
• Removethehex boltand hexnut fromthe negative
cable.
Removetheblack plasticcover,ifpresent,from the
negativebatteryterminaland attachthe negative
cable(heavy blackwire)to the negativebattery
terminal(-) with thebolt and nut.
NOTE:If the batteryis putinto serviceafter the date
shownon top/sideof battery,chargethe batteryas
instructedin the Maintaining Your LawnTractorsectionof
this manualpriorto operatingthe tractor.
Gas and Oil Fill-up
Thegasolinetank is locatedunderthe hood and hasa
capacityof 1-1/2gallons.Donot overfill.
