Troubleshooting

Malfunctions may occur with any electrical equipment. This must not always involve a defect of the device.
Therefore, check the following table to see if you can eliminate the problem yourself.
Malfunction
Device does not turn on
No sound
CD playback does not start
USB playback does not start
No or poor Bluetooth connection
Device does not respond
Poor FM/DAB reception
Remote control does not work or
only sporadically
Possible cause
AC adapter with universal adapter
is not properly connected
Volume is set to minimum
Sound is turned off
Headphones are connected
Another mode is set
CD format is not compatible
CD is dirty
CD is damaged
CD is upside down in the disc tray
USB device is not plugged in
USB device is not compatible
USB device has no legible audio
files.
Malfunctions due to other radio
transmitters or devices
Software is out of date
Error in the device
FM/DAB antenna is not properly
positioned
Distance is too great
Elimination
Properly connect the AC adapter
with universal adapter (see
Ä Chapter 7.3 'Connecting the
power supply' on page 83).
Increase the volume (see
Ä Chapter 10.1 'Setting the
volume' on page 89).
Switch on the sound (see
Ä Chapter 10.2 'Muting the audio
playback' on page 89).
Pull the headphones out of the
jack.
Set the correct mode (see
Ä Chapter 10.3 'Selecting a play‐
back mode' on page 89).
Insert a different CD into the CD
slot.
Clean the CD.
Insert a different CD into the CD
slot.
Remove the CD and insert it cor-
rectly into the disc tray.
Insert the USB device into the port
on the back of the device (see
Ä Chapter 15 'USB playback'
on page 93).
Check if your USB device is compat-
ible with the radio.
Check the files on the USB device.
Increase the distance between the
radio and your TV.
Ensure that the current software
version is installed on your external
Bluetooth device.
Switch the device off and then on
again.
Change the position of the FM/DAB
antenna.
Decrease the distance between the
remote control and the device.
