Fitting sensors

Magnetic sensors can be fitted in many ways. They are used to
sense the position of the shuttle on the cylinder. There are slots to
take the sensors on both sides of all sizes of RMC cylinder. There
are also two sensor slots on the top of all cylinder with piston size
32-63 mm.
No more than two sensors should be placed in each slot, so that
the cables can be routed sensibly without getting in the way.
Figure 10 shows an example of the positioning of two sensors and
the routing of their cables with the aid of cable holders.
1. Feed the sensor cables (1) into the sensor slot and slide them
from left to right, with the sensor on the left, outside the slot.
2. Feed in the cable holder (2) through the chamfer in the sensor
slot, making sure that one cable passes directly above the
cable holder and the other cable directly below it, in the same
slot.
3. Feed the sensors (3) through the chamfer into the sensor slot
and carefully pull them to the correct position with the cable.
4. When the sensors have been correctly positioned and their
cables are located in the slot as shown above, carefully tighten
the small screws (4) in the sensors.
5. Carefully pull the cables taut and move the cable holder as far
as possible to the right. If necessary, press the cables into the
