When the meter is first turned on, it automatically goes into AutoRanging mode. This automati-
cally selects the best range for the measurements being made and is generally the best mode for
most measurements. For measurements that require the range to be manually selected, perform
the following:
1 Press the ranGe key. The "auto" display indicator will turn off.
Press the ranGe key to scroll through the available ranges until you select the desired range.

3 To exit the Manual Ranging mode and return to AutoRanging, press EXIT
Note: Manual ranging does not apply to Temperature functions.
maX/min
Press the maX/min key to activate themaX/min recording mode. The display icon "maX"

will appear. The LH auxiliary display of the meter will appear, maintaining the maximum
value read; the value will update only when a new "max" occurs. The display icon "min"
will appear. The RH auxiliary display of the meter will show and maintain the minimum value
read that will update only when a new "min" occurs.
To exit maX/min mode press eXit
