You will rarely need to adjust the tension (clearance or edge overlap) of the cutter blades for normal
operation, because the adjustment is set at the factory; however, if you replace the cutter blades,
you may need to change this adjustment. To adjust the overlap of the cutter blades:
1. Turn the power switch to OFF, and unplug the Electra from the power source.
2. Remove the left side panel to expose the gears of the tape dispenser.
3. Move the eccentric bushing pin to increase or decrease the edge overlap on the cutter (see
Figure 28). Marsh Shipping Supply Company, LLC recommends an overlap distance of 1/32
of and inche (0.79 mm) at the tip of the blade.
