5. Remove the two screws holding the keypad plate in place.
6. Lift up the keypad plate and disconnect the two cables attached to the control board. Be sure to
note the connection locations of these cables so that you will be able to reconnect the keypad
plate after cleaning the gears.
7. Remove the left side cover to expose the gears of the tape dispenser (see Figure 11).
8. Clean the gears and moving parts with a small brush.
9. Apply a small amount of lubricant (Lubricant, Dow Corning 1292; Marsh part number 16706)
to the gear teeth and moving parts. Do not use any other form of lubricant.
10. Replace the gear cover panel.
11. Reconnect the two cables to the control board on the keypad plate.
12. Screw the keypad plate in place.
13. Reassemble the moistening system. Refill the water bottle.
14. Plug in the power cord and turn the power switch ON.
