Mounting instructions:
1.)
Disassemble the rear fog lights and the rear bumper including the inner fittings.
Remove the inner steel reinforcement (will not be replaced) and the polystyrene core from the bumper.
Remove the spare tyre.
Disassemble the towing eyes (will not be replaced) on the left and right-hand side of the chassis beam.
Remove the exhaust system's end silencer.
2.)
From the outside, loosely attach the side parts 4 and 5 on the left and right-hand side of point "a" to the
chassis beam using the bolts M12x1.25x35 and the washers 13x24x2.5.
Place the base part 1 underneath the vehicle and loosely attach it on the left and right-hand side of point
3.)
"b" using the bolts M12x120, the washers 13x24x2.5 as well as the M12 nuts. Also attach the side parts
4 and 5.
From below, loosely attach the base part 1 on the left and right-hand side of point "d" to the chassis
beam using the bolts M12x1.25x35 and the washers 13x24x2.5.
Now loosely attach the side parts 4 and 5 on the left and right-hand side of point "f" to the base part 1
using the bolts M12x40, the washers 13x24x2.5 and the nuts M12; as well as at point "e" using the bolts
M12x40 and the washers 13x24x2.5.
Push the spacer tubes 6 between the plates on the left and right-hand side of point "c" and loosely
attach them using the bolts M10x125, the washers 10.5x21x2 as well as the nuts M10.
4.)
Align the towing device and tighten all the nuts and bolts.
Tightening torque for M10 at point "c"
Tightening torque for M12 at points "a", "b", "d", "e", "f" = 65 Nm
5.)
Saw a portion out of the underside of the bumper in the middle as indicated in diagram Z.
Place the polystyrene core into the bumper and re-attach it to the vehicle or the towing device.
Push the ball bar 2 between the plates at point "g" and attach it using the bolts M12x70, the washers
6.)
13x24x2.5 as well as the nuts M12.
Also attach the socket holder 3 here.
Tightening torque for M12 at point "g" = 95 Nm
7.)
Reassemble the rear fog lights to the bumper. Reattach the exhaust system's end silencer and fasten
the spare tyre.
= 40 Nm
