► Observe the information in the prosthetic knee joint instructions for use.

5.2.3 Static Alignment

• Ottobock recommends checking the alignment of the prosthesis using the L.A.S.A.R. Posture
and adapting it as needed.
If necessary, the alignment recommendations (TF modular leg prostheses: 646F219*, TT
•
modular leg prostheses: 646F336*) may be requested from Ottobock.

5.2.4 Dynamic Trial Fitting

• Adapt the setup of the prosthesis in the frontal plane and the sagittal plane (e.g. by making
angle or slide adjustments) so that correct heel contact and optimal roll-over are ensured.
TT fittings:Make sure that physiological knee movement is achieved after the heel makes

impact and the leg begins to bear weight.
• Remove the adapter cover from the prosthetic foot after completion of the dynamic trial fitting
and gait training exercises.

5.2.4.1 Optimising the heel characteristics

INFORMATION
Only use the prosthetic foot with the heel wedge.
The behaviour of the prosthetic foot at heel strike and during heel contact in the mid-stance phase
can be adapted by replacing the heel wedge. The prosthetic foot is delivered with 2 heel wedges
(hard and soft). Further heel wedges in various degrees of hardness are available as a set.
Heel wedge degrees of hardness: The heel wedges are marked with numbers. The smaller the
number, the softer the heel wedge.
1) Pull the prosthetic foot apart slightly and pull out the existing heel wedge.
2) Align the other heel wedge so the Ottobock lettering is legible and the tip points to anterior.
3) Insert the heel wedge in the prosthetic foot (see fig. 2, see fig. 3, see fig. 4).
6 Cleaning
Recommended cleaning agent: pH neutral soap (e.g. 453H10 Derma Clean)

1) Clean the product with clear fresh water and a pH neutral soap.
2) Rinse the soap away with clear fresh water.
3) Dry the product with a soft cloth.
4) Allow to air dry in order to remove residual moisture.
7 Maintenance

Risk of injuries due to changes in or loss of functionality and damage to the product
► Observe the following maintenance instructions.
• The prosthetic components should be inspected after the first 30 days of use.
• Inspect the entire prosthesis for wear during normal consultations.
• Conduct annual safety inspections.

7.1 Mounting/changing the forefoot pad

The prosthetic foot comes with a forefoot pad and a hook-and-loop strip. Use the hook-and-loop
strip to fasten the forefoot pad (see title image).
1) Remove the forefoot pad from the prosthetic foot.
2) Place a new forefoot pad on the prosthetic foot.
