Maintenance and Repair
Check the half mask
• Check all parts for tears, brittleness or deformations.
The valve disc must be movable, the valve seat must be clean and without
damage.
Visual inspection of the exhalation valve
• Press the valve seat into the inner mask body and remove it from the mask.
• Grasp the valve disc at the edge and remove it from the valve seat.
• Check the valve seat for contamination and damage. Wipe it clean by using a lint-
free cloth. Replace damaged valve seat.
• Press the valve disc into the valve seat. The disc should have an even and tight fit
on the valve seat. If necessary replace the valve disc.
• Insert the valve seat into the mask body so that the valve seat sits firmly in the
groove of the mask body. Make sure that the valve disc faces outwards.
